Dear Kababayan and Friends,

We were deeply appreciative of many support, including comments and suggestions, we received from our members and friends. Because of our desire to have a closer relationship based on kindred spirit, our  fellow members - Adele Vicencio-Luneau and Victor Carlos - spearheaded the move to launch the very  first San Mateo (Rizal) Association of Greater New York Souvenir Journal.

In recognizing and keeping alive our cultural heritage and traditional values, the theme of our journal would be "San Mateo: A Celebration."

We would be most grateful to receive your photograph together with a brief message on or before October 30, 1999.  Our goal is to have the journal published and circulated during our "Holiday Season '99  Get-together Celebration" on December 4, 1999. There would be also available space for business ad. To order,  please fill out the form previously mailed to you, and send the form to San Mateo (Rizal) Association of Greater New York.  Our project coordinators, Adele and Victor, can be reached with any questions or comments that you may have at (516) 321-0894,  or at the Association's E-mail address at "[email protected].".

In addition to the journal, we will also post all the photographs we receive in the San Mateo Association website.  The website will be seen by our "kababayans" who can access the internet, not only in the United States and the Philippines, but also in other parts of the world.  Please send your photographs as soon as possible, because the earlier we receive them, the sooner our "kababayans" can see them in our website.  You can access our website at   "http://netdial.caribe.net/~vicencio/".

The response to this proposed publication has been very positive and welcoming, and we expect to be able to produce a truly representative collection of mementos from our "Kababayans" and friends in the United States and other parts of the world. Your financial contribution would greatly augment our existing fund to cover the cost of this publication.

The continued support and encouragement from all of you is one thing this Association would cherish most -- again "Maraming Salamat Po"

Sincerely,

Rey "Amang" Vicencio
